Christmas Lights 2008

Each year, Grant and Sharon bring some Christmas cheer to the neighbourhood through their Christmas Lights display. What makes their display a little special is that much of it is hand built out of materials you find at a garden centre. It is a labour of love that takes many weeks of preparation before each display is mounted. This year saw us move house and conduct a major overhaul of the lights controller system. The lights have finally been synchronised to music! Several new decorations have also been built to complement our new location and control capabilities.

Our display can now be found at Vernons Drive, Highbury (South Australia).

The Show has commenced!

The display will run from:

• 8.30pm until 10.30pm weekdays, and until 11.30pm weekends from the 1st of December until the 18th of December.
• 8.30pm until 11.30pm the 19th of December until the 28th of December

You can listen to the music that is playing with the show on FM-Stereo 91.1 MHz

The control system this year is powered by Light-O-Rama equipment from the USA adapted to work in Australia. A considerable amount of help has been had this year from my friend Matt (who moved in around the corner this year). Thanks must go to Matt (and to his good wife Faith) for helping me out and putting up with the late nights and continued occupancy of the Kitchen table during the construction period!
